Senior Developer/Technical Lead with 15+ years experience in web application development across ecommerce, education, banking and government.
I have experience working on large projects for demanding clients to tight deadlines while maintaining a strong focus on the technical integrity of my work both individually and as part of larger teams.
I have been involved with bespoke integrations between custom in-house fulfilment and stock management systems as well as general ecommerce website development. I have previously worked on bespoke web applications for clients such as Bank of Ireland designing, extending, maintaining and supporting a new online account application system.
Throughout my career I have provided hands-on development and mentoring as necessary for other members of the development team. Ranging from getting experienced developers up-to-speed with projects to training placement students and graduate developers in technologies and best practice.

Senior Developer, Belfast, 2019 — Full stack web development focusing on PHP applications and WordPress development. Responsibilities included project planning, design and building web applications. Training and mentoring other developers. Providing detailed estimates for new projects and solutions to problems.
Senior Developer, Belfast, 2015 — Development and support on a wide range of PHP, Magento 1, Magento 2 and WordPress projects. Including bespoke solutions for ecommerce clients and third party integrations.
In 2018 I was shortlisted for the Digital DNA Developer of the Year Award.
Lead Web Developer, Belfast, 2014 — While at The Tomorrow Lab I was involved in ongoing support and development for extensive WordPress and Magento-based clients as well as working on new projects.
Web Developer, Belfast, 2013 — At Simply Zesty focused on bespoke PHP application development for clients such as Bank of Ireland extending, maintaining and supporting a new online account application system. Ecommerce work included the new Calor Gas shop built on the Magento platform.
Web Developer, Coleraine, 2009 — Web Development focusing on WordPress and Magento design and development. At JSR Technology I worked more directly with clients throughout the project including first contact, sales, development, training, handover and support.
Placement Web Developer, Ballymena, 2007 — Responsibilities included maintaining the school website, assisting with ICT classes, school photography, building learning resources and deployment of a school-wide Moodle eLearning system.
